Ms. Vikki Ellis

My name is Vikki Ellis. This year marks my 16th year of teaching and my second year here in Bella Bella. Originally from a small town in Newfoundland, my road to Bella Bella has had many twists and turns. After getting my Arts and Education degrees in Newfoundland, I moved far from home to the village of Attawapiskat, in northern Ontario where I taught for 4 years.

Since that first job I have lived and worked in 5 other communities in Ontario, Manitoba, Quebec and British Columbia. My cat Jilly has been with me for most of my teaching journeys. We have seen so many wonderful places across Canada and are now thrilled to be here in Bella Bella. You may see her out walking on her leash in her rain coat – we’ve quite adjusted to the weather now. Please feel welcome to stop by room 30 if you’d like to see how things roll in grade 8 and 9 English and Social Studies. Simply check in with the lovely staff in the office and come on down!
